Neubau, Lausitzer Quartier, Berlin
Tucked away in a private backyard, a new residential building will soon be taking shape in Berlin Kreuzberg, as an extension to the Quartier that mainly consists of protected old buildings. Conceived in dialogue with the rougher surrounding architecture, the interior design speaks through a toned-down color palette in shades of white and grey, accentuated with dark and contrasting elements in metal and wood.
The concept will be realised on 936m² for 11 new build apartments. The building itself is a two minute walk away from Paul-Lincke-Ufer. Although the central location in Kreuzberg would suggest otherwise, the immediate living environment in the backyard of the Quartier is very quiet and private.
